SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION
Simultaneous interpretation, also known as simultaneous translation, is the use of special technical equipment and a booth to translate the speeches transmitted to the interpreter through headphones into the target language at the same time as the speaker gives. The interpretation reaches the audience through headphones on the channel they choose for the desired language.
In meetings exceeding one hour, two interpreters take part and interpret alternately every 30 minutes on average. Since this work allows interpreters to rest, it also prevents interpretation problems that may arise due to fatigue.
As a company principle, we share the work experience, included in updated CVs, of the interpreters who will provide service when requested before the meeting with our solution partners. In this way, the competence of the interpreters to be assigned to the subject is ensured. Simultaneous interpretation can be used in the media, live broadcasts, press conferences, interviews, national and international congresses, symposiums, conferences, seminars and so on. It is suitable for events with a huge range of participants, as well as for company meetings with fewer participants. Due to being simultaneous, interpretation’s biggest advantage is that it goes parallel with the duration of the meeting. We also provide services in cross-language combinations.
WHISPERING
Whispering is an interpretation in which the interpreter whispers the speech into the ears of one or at most two people simultaneously. It is more tiring since it is done simultaneously, like simultaneous interpretation, but without the necessary technical equipment. For this reason, the rules applied to simultaneous interpretation apply in terms of duration. Even if the translation is provided to a single person, if the duration exceeds 1 hour, two translators are assigned. However, it is only suitable for short meetings. Since the interpreter must be close to the speaker to whom he/she will interpret by whispering, it will not be possible to translate in large halls or noisy environments where he/she is at a distance. When it is necessary to stay away, the infoport system should generally be preferred since speaking in a whisper is not very appropriate.
CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING
Consecutive interpreting is a form of interpreatiton in which the interpreter takes notes of the speaker's speech in meeting rooms where it is not possible to install simultaneous translation equipment and in official meetings that require confidentiality, such as round table meetings, diplomatic contacts, bilateral meetings. However, it should also be taken into consideration that consecutive interpreting causes the meeting time to be much longer.
ESCORT INTERPRETING
It is a type of interpretation in which the interpreter performs in a whisper or consecutively, accompanying delegations during domestic and international visits outside the congress environment, such as diplomatic meetings, factory tours, business meetings, field studies. It should be preferred for small groups rather than large delegations.
